Do you think that the incest stories in the Scripture are important to strengthen your belief and make you a religious person?
1 - Two daughters lie with their father: (That the firstborn said unto the younger Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father). Genesis 19: 34
2 - A man lie with his father's concubine: (Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine). Genesis 35: 22
3 - A man lie with his daughter in law: (When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot …. and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee for he knew not that she was his daughter in law….. and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. …in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb). Genesis 38: 15 – 27
4 - A man lie with his sister: (He took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister…. Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her). 2 Samuel (13:11 – 14)
Do you feel any shame to narrate these stories to your teenage daughter? If so, isn't it evidence that they are misguiding and deceiving you?
