They taught you that Jesus is a God because He is the son of God,
If that is true, what about all the other sons of the God mentioned in the Scripture? Are all of them became Gods like Jesus?
Or Jesus alone is a God and the others are not?
Although Jesus never said in verbal words in the Bible:
"I am your God, and worship me"
Our Non-Muslims friends all over the world: If the previous evidences were not sufficient to convince you, this is other evidence to prove that they are deceiving you.
The Scripture say:

2 - (Peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God). MATTHEW 5 : 9
3 - (Those led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God). ROMANS 8: 14
3 - (To them gave the power to become the sons of God,) . JOHN 1:12
Regardless, about what mentioned in The Holy Qura'n about that issue, but Jesus remains a God:
The Holy Qura'n say:
1 - (Say: If Allah - Most gracious - had a son, I would be the first to worship). (Qura'n 43 : 81)
2 - (They say: Allah Most gracious has begotten a son).
3 - (Indeed ye have put forth a thing Most monstrous)
4 - (At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down In utter ruin)
5 - (That They should invoke a son for Allah Most Gracious).
6 - (For it is not consonant with the majesty of Allah, Most gracious that He should beget a son).
7 - (Not one of the beings In the heavens and the earth but must come to Allah Most gracious As a servant).
8 - (He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly).
9 - (And every one of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment). Qura'n 19: 88
With logical mind and common sense, if Jesus was a God because he is son of God, why not the other sons of God became Gods like Jesus? Isn't it evidence that they want to deceive you?
